Geocomposite Drainage System

Geocomposite Drainage Liners are extremely light in nature. These are easy to transport as well as install and chemically inert. Offered with flexibility as well as resistance to microbiological attacks, these are impermeable to fluid as well as gases and boost the velocity with their smooth surface as well as slope.

Geocomposite

Composition :- Geomembrane + Geonel + Geolextile + Geogrid

Geomommang:

HDPE Geomembrane is used as impermeable layer to check the seepage and leakage in civil engineering structure like land fills. lining. pond lining. cut off trench tunnel. drainage etc. in maximum extend.

(1) Very light in nature. easy to transportation and installation. chemically inert. flexibility. resistance to microbiological attacks. impermeable to liquid and gases and increase the velocity for reduction in canal sectional area due to smooth surface and slope.

Geonet:

Geonet eliminates gravel bed. perforated pipe network and slurry seal. Drainage Geonets 016 mm and 8 mm have the same capacity drainage water as a graded sand layer of bulk quantities i.e.a few hundred mm thick and presents high pore pressure development on the slope which provides an efficient flow line.

Geotextile:

Geotextile layer at base acts as filter which will not allow clogging to occur and prevents the fine from interfering with the drainage lines. As a permeable layer provides the protection to geonet and geomembrane against puncture from sub grade aggregates.

Advantage of Geocomposite

  • At a stretch it will work as impermeable, drainage, and filter layers.
  • Due to light weight. easy to transport and flexible in nature, the work will be faster and simpler without no time.
  • Reduction in excavation, elimination of gravel bed and pertorated pipe network results in lower cost of construction and reduces the concrete lining thickness.
  • A much thicker drainage layer can be replaced with a thin layer of Geocomposite.
  • Due to better tensile strength. Geocomposite can resist soil pressure on slopes and distribute concentrated forces preventing local shear failure condition from developing.
  • Increase canal capacity of discharge.
  • Better filter function because of controlled quality.
  • Geocomposites are suitable for reinforcement in the drainage application for a total solution for slope stabilization.
  • Due to seepage causes water logging in the surrounding area and during empty canal condition. the underground water develops pore water pressure. which damages the lining. so in order to eliminate pore water pressure. only drainage layer is suitable to protect the canal.
  • Geocomposite provides highest resistance against chemical and biological Degradation.
  • Application in canals, tunnels, metros, water resiervoir, landfill sites etc.
  • Due to multilayered composites. it provides superior puncture resistance.
